50-year-old Italian family business Mingardo works with contemporary designers to produce metal furniture and products that are defined by elegant lines and exceptional detailing.

This elegant side chair was designed by Martinelli Venezia to emphasise Mingardo’s superior craftsmanship and metalworking expertise. The studio wanted to celebrate the chair’s construction, which comprises seven elements fixed together with visible hex screws. Brugola’s black varnished iron frame allows the brass screws connecting the circular seat and backrest to stand out. The result is an expressive and expertly crafted product that is also versatile and extremely practical.
