Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) Inspired Hot Pad

This pattern mimics the look of FPP quilting without the need to remove the paper. It includes 32 color stops, so please ensure your machine can accommodate this before purchasing. However, thread changes are not required when creating the base design.

📌 About This Design:

• The hot pad is made entirely in the hoop.
• The envelope turn hole must be closed using hand sewing, seam tape, or glue (Steam-A-Seam Lite recommended).
• You will need Insul-Bright or another heat-resistant material for the interior.
• Optional: A second hooping is available to create a bias tab for hanging.

📌 Thread Considerations:

• Polyester thread has a melt point of 490°F, making it suitable for moderate heat.
• If you’re concerned about high heat exposure, cotton thread is the better choice.
• Nylon thread should NOT be used, as it has a lower melt point.
