Among my very favorite tiny animal in the Critical EYE collection is this wonderful Inuit hand-carved polar bear, which seems at once fierce and friendly; stoic and animated with its outstretched neck and black painted mouth, eyes, ears, and feet. From the back and underside, a darker colored vein or marbilization is visible; this and the color lead me to believe the bear is carved from Walrus tusk.

The polar bear stands less than an inch tall, is 2 inches long, and 5/8's of an inch wide.  Small but powerful!
