The M110A2 is an 8-inch (203mm) self-propelled howitzer formerly used by the U.S. Army from the 1960s until the late 1990s. Mounted on a tracked chassis, it provided powerful, long-range general support and counter-battery fire, capable of firing high-explosive and rocket-assisted projectiles. The system was retired from U.S. service and replaced by the M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System, though it remains in service with other nations.
