Everything but the kitchen sink packed into this old pencil drawing of a very busy couple on their farm, surrounded by dog and cat and chickens and little chicks. From the fish-shaped weathervane on the barn to the shutter hanging open to the bucket on the fence to the pair of horseshoes at lower right next to the artist's initials, it really feels rather like one of those puzzle drawings where you are supposed to locate all sorts hidden images! Pretty great.

Image size: 8 1/2" x 5 3/4". Board size: 9 5/8" x 6 7/8". Some overall age toning, a little foxing around the perimeter of the board, and a cut upper right corner, but drawing itself is in good shape. Late 19th/ very early 20th c. I believe.
