Optiskin - Sterile, semi-permeable wound protection dressings - Urgo

Thanks to its polyurethane backing, Optiskin dressing is waterproof and bacteria- resistant , while still allowing the wound to breathe to prevent maceration. Its transparent film allows you to monitor the saturated state of the dressing. This sterile , flexible , and conformable dressing adapts to all areas of the body and is suitable for sensitive skin.

Instructions for use :

1. Skin preparation

• If necessary, shave the hair to ensure good adhesion of the dressing.
• Disinfect the wound thoroughly, rinse and dry carefully
• If necessary, perform hemostasis of the wound (stop the bleeding).

Precautions for use :

Avoid tension during application. Change the dressing, according to the instructions, on average every 2 to 3 days and:

• in case of doubt about the dryness of the compress after bathing, showering or balneotherapy
• in case of saturation of the compress with blood or exudates

With a doctor's prescription, it is possible to keep the dressing in place for a maximum of 7 days.

In all cases, regularly monitor the wound or puncture site and surrounding areas to detect any signs of infection such as pain, redness, swelling, unusual odor or suppuration.

If in doubt, contact your doctor or nursing service.

Do not use the dressing on infected wounds, infected puncture sites, deep, bleeding or heavily exuding wounds.

Do not use for covering central venous catheters.

Single use only (otherwise risk of infection) – Do not re-sterilize – Check the integrity of the individual sterility packaging before use

Do not use for more than 30 consecutive days.

Do not use on newborns weighing less than 3.5 kg

Do not expose to light for prolonged periods
