Common Name: Blueberry Ash

Elaeocarpus Prima Donna, also known as Blueberry Ash, is a stunning native rainforest tree with soft pink ballerina-like flowers, hence the name Prima Donna, and outstanding evergreen foliage with bronze fresh growth. A smaller tree up to 4-5m, Prima Donna has a slender shape, and is a great feature tree. Also ideal for large hedges, screening plants and avenue planting. The pale pink flowers occur through spring to early summer and are sweetly scented and very pretty. The flowers are followed by blueberries which will attract seed-eating birds to the area. This stunning tree has a high pest and disease resistance, and is low maintenance once established. Prima Donna prefers a sunny position and free draining soil, rich in organic matter and not over wet.
