The Mohair Mat is made from a combination of the most prized natural materials to create a luxuriously comfortable, 100% chemical and plastic-free nursery mattress. The horsetail fibre core harks back to a time when horsetail was one of the most popular mattress fillings - thanks to its durability, firm springiness and renewability.
We’ve stepped the Mohair up a notch by swapping our regular wool layer out for - you guessed it - mohair. This wonderful natural fibre comes from the angora goat and is much like wool, only finer. With the same hypoallergenic qualities as wool, mohair is the perfect natural fibre for children with allergies.
The Mohair Mat features a quilted cover made from a blend of wool & cotton - woven tightly in such a way that our covers are naturally fireproof, with no need for synthetic FR treatment. Likewise, our covers are finished with an all-natural geraniol treatment - making them bed-bug and dust-mite resistant, perfect for children with allergies.
