The JBL Control 418C/T is an 8-inch two-way coaxial ceiling loudspeaker from the Control 400 Standard Coverage Series, delivering a wide 57 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range and up to 360W peak power handling - the highest-output standard-coverage model in the series, designed for large commercial zones requiring extended low-frequency performance and maximum SPL from a ceiling-mounted enclosure.

Replacing the Control 18C/T, the 418C/T is engineered for large hotel ballrooms, airport concourses, convention center halls, and auditorium lobbies where a 6.5-inch ceiling speaker falls short on bass extension or output. The combined 70V/100V and 8-ohm direct operation provides system design flexibility, and the 60W multi-tap transformer enables seamless distributed-line integration.

All Control 400 Series models are engineered with installer-friendly features: terminal covers with top and side cable entry, captive hand-screws for tool-free securing, and a captive dogear mounting system compatible with a wide range of ceiling thicknesses. The full-face magnetic grille is paintable and includes an integrated safety tether, meeting UL 1480A, UL 2043, NFPA 90A, and NFPA 70 requirements for plenum-rated installations.
