Apricot Fruit Plants (Prunus armeniaca) is a small deciduous fruit tree valued for its sweet, golden-orange fruits and ornamental appeal. Belonging to the rose family (Rosaceae), it is believed to have originated in Central Asia and Armenia, hence its name. The tree typically grows 8–12 meters tall, with broad, ovate leaves and beautiful white to pinkish spring blossoms that appear before the foliage. Apricot fruits are round to oval, with velvety skin, juicy flesh, and a single large seed inside. Rich in vitamins A and C, fiber, and antioxidants, apricots are consumed fresh, dried, or processed into jams, juices, and desserts. Easy to cultivate in temperate to subtropical climates, Prunus armeniaca is also admired as a garden tree for its spring flowers and summer fruits.
