The 1972 Aston Martin DBS V8 is the last Aston Martin from David Brown.
It was delivered with Aston Martin's own V8, developed by Tadek Marek, who was also responsible for the six-cylinder in the DB4, DB5 and DB6. The newly developed V8 proved to be a robust and durable engine.

In the period April 1970 to May 1972, 399 Aston Martin DBS V8s were produced.
One of only 140 with LHD steering. Only 37 of these cars were exported to the USA. This is one of those cars.

From what we have found out, it has only two owners in the US, before it was exported to Norway, where we are now the 2nd owner. The car was sold new in Los Angeles and ran in California until it was exported to Norway.

The car has been through two extensive restorations, most recently in 2007/2008. The car now appears in good condition, but there is still a way to go before it is Concours-worthy.

EU-approved for the last time in spring 2024.
The car is favorably priced for what I consider to be a light, but drivable project. A fantastic car that drives well and attracts attention with its beautiful exterior and powerful sound.

A lot of documentation comes with the car, as well as a comprehensive workshop manual.

1972 Aston Martin DBS V8 er den siste Aston Martin fra David Brown.
Denne ble levert med Aston Martins egen V8, utviklet av Tadek Marek som også var ansvarlig for sekssylinderen i DB4, DB5 og DB6. Den nyutviklede V8`n skulle vise seg å være en robust og slitesterk  motor med lite problemer. 

I perioden april 1970 til mai 1972 ble det produsert 399 Aston Martin DBS V8. 
Bare 140 biler ble produsert med venstreratt.
Kun 37 av disse bilene ble eksportert til USA. Dette er en av disse bilene.

Etter det vi har funnet ut av så har den kun to eiere i USA, før den ble eksportert til Norge, hvor vi nå er andre eier. Bilen ble solgt ny i Los Angeles og gikk i California fram til den ble eksportert til Norge i 2006.

Bilen har vært igjennom to omfattende restaureringer, senest i 2007/2008. Bilen fremstår nå som fin, men det er et stykke fram til Concours-tiltand. 

Eu-godkjent for siste gang våren 2024.
Bilen er gunstig priset og vil være en god investering for ny eier.  En fantastisk bil, som kjører godt og vekker oppmerksomhet med sitt vakre ytre og voldsomme lydbilde.
