Slash is known for some of the most iconic riffs, licks, and solos in rock ’n’ roll. To recreate the ferocious tone heard on classic Guns N’ Roses records, Velvet Revolver, and his solo albums, Slash teamed up with Seymour Duncan to develop his signature Slash humbuckers.

When Slash received the honour of his own Gibson Les Paul Signature model, Seymour Duncan supplied the same Alnico 2 Pro humbuckers he had relied on for decades. The new guitars, however, sounded noticeably different from the original AFD Les Paul. Seymour Duncan took on the challenge and created a new pickup that would push a stock Les Paul toward the familiar sustain, crunch, and midrange character of Slash’s original Derrig Les Paul copy. The result is the Slash Signature Model humbucker.
