Antique Twisted Baleen or Whalebone Riding Whip - w1642This delicate lady's riding whip is made of golden brown twisted baleen or whalebone. It has a silver cap with foliate decoration. It also has two small gilt knops with cast foliate decoration along its length. These are a feature often seen in late 18th & early 19th century whips.
