Made in Koshu, Japan, in the shadow of Mt. Fuji, Yasutomo Gasen Washi Paper is a high-quality Japanese art paper made from pulp. Soft and absorbent, this paper behaves differently than Western art surfaces; although it can handle a variety of media from pencil to sumi ink, you will notice that most inks absorb into the textured paper and create a blurred effect.

Use Gasen paper for printmaking, brush calligraphy, sumi-e painting, origami, papercraft, and many other purposes. Each pack measures 9.5" x 10.75" and includes 20 sheets. One side is smoother and the other is more textured. For best results, work on the smooth side.
