The 3101C Series is an innovative solution designed to meet both egress codes and high security requirements. This next-generation system integrates updated electronics with DynaLock's proven and reliable egress-sensing technology, offering a seamless balance between security and compliance. In a typical installation, the door remains normally closed and latched by the existing mechanical door hardware while being magnetically secured by the 3101C Lock. When an attempt to exit is made by unlatching and pushing the door, the 3101C’s delay egress timer is activated, ensuring that unauthorized exits are prevented.

Upon activation, an audible alarm and red LED light pulsate for 15 seconds (or 30 seconds, field selectable), signaling a delay before the lock releases. After the timer elapses, the lock releases and the audible sound continues with a green LED, indicating that the door can now be exited. The system is reset either by a built-in keyswitch or a remote signal, providing flexibility in its use. The 3101C system also integrates seamlessly with the building's emergency fire alarm system, automatically unlocking when the fire alarm is triggered or when power is lost. Fire alarm contacts on the 3101C lock are field-selectable for NO and NC signals, ensuring compatibility with various system setups.
