The Save the Bees Sweater is a top-down yoke-necked colourwork sweater celebrating the humble bee! The sweater is knitted in Rowan Felted Tweed yarn using 3.75mm needles and features a cable patterns as well as colourwork for a fun twist on a traditional sweater.

There is a slight positive ease, making this sweater comfortable over layers and easy to wear. The original sweater was created using hand dyed yarns (shown in pictures) and has been reworked in Rowan Felted Tweed to fabulous effect. The colours in the kit are Cumin, Clay and Treacle (shown in the images)

Your kit will include the pattern and all the yarn required to knit your chosen size.* Sizes available are: To fit busts 28", 32", 36", 40", 44", 48", 52", 56" and 60". Yarn quantities have been calculated for a 12" body length from underarm. If you would like a longer sweater, please order another ball (or more!) of Felted Tweed in Colour 193 Cumin. We will do our best to match the dye-lots for these additional balls to those in your kit, however we cannot guarantee this. * We have worked out yarn quantities and allowed a little extra based on our tension, measurements and samples. Please note that if you alter the pattern or tension then you may require additional yarn.

You will also need:

• 3.25mm circular needles (60cm/24" long) for the neck and hem.
• (Optional) 3.25mm double pointed needles for the cuffs (or your preferred option for small circumference knitting).
• 3.75mm circular needles (80cm/32" long).
• (Optional) 3.75mm circular needles (30cm/12" long) for the sleeves (or your preferred option for small circumference knitting).
• 5 stitch markers.
• Spare yarn or stitch holders.

Tension:

The tension for stocking stitch is 21 stitches and 28 rows to 10cm on 3.75mm needles.
