A second today by the same person who drew the woman with raised hand in garden (framed) that I've also listed today--because I have a few moments before 4pm and because I think maybe nice to see that the artist's sustained commitment to lovely ladies in fancy dresses with tiny hands and feet! Again with the very excellent, very sculptural treatment of the hair, and how proud this woman looks--and as if on the verge of ripping open her bodice like the blue curtains behind her, in libration! With an especially wonderful treatment of her stockings, again advancing the sense that she's poised to reveal her full self:)
Paper 6 3/4 x 4 3/4” and in good condition, paper a bit brittle, I backed a couple of very tiny tears along bottom right edge with a bit of archival tape to shore it up. Graphite and crayon, late 19th c. I believe, found in Maine.
