In this 30g, it suits situations where predators are chasing thin baitfish and you need a lure that flies well rather than tumbles through the cast.

On the retrieve it gives a tighter fleeing-bait action, and on the fall it drops quicker, which helps when current, wind or deeper water would make a wider jig feel lazy and disconnected.

Use a fast straight retrieve for surface-feeding pelagics, or count it down and work it with sharp lifts when fish are sitting mid-water.
