The Flomatic 5728PI 1"–1 1/4" Model 124P plastic foot valve is a compact, corrosion-resistant foot valve designed to help maintain pump prime, prevent backflow, and protect suction lines from debris. This model features a PVC body, a Buna-N disc, stainless-steel spring and hardware, and a tapered composite polypropylene screen for reliable performance in light-duty water systems. The barbed insert connection provides a versatile 2-in-1 combination for 1" and 1 1/4" flexible pipe. The valve is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a maximum temperature of 140°F (60°C).

Operation: Flomatic 124P plastic foot valves are designed to provide years of trouble-free operation when properly sized and installed in suitable pumping and water system applications. The internal spring-loaded poppet closes quickly when flow stops to help maintain prime, minimize backflow, and reduce the risk of water hammer, while the integral tapered strainer helps keep larger debris out of the suction line.

Construction: The corrosion-resistant thermoplastic construction combines a PVC body with stainless-steel internal components and a composite strainer to provide a durable, lightweight solution for many residential and light commercial installations. The tapered flow-through design supports good hydraulic performance with relatively low head loss through the valve.

The integrated screen protects the valve, pump, and suction piping from harmful debris. Its high-flow open area and tapered geometry help minimize plugging while still providing an effective coarse filtration stage ahead of downstream equipment.
