King Manuel I of Portugal, known as “Manuel the Fortunate,” reigned during the golden age of Portuguese exploration, overseeing voyages by Vasco da Gama and Pedro Álvares Cabral. The design, printed by Lito Nacional – Porto, features a vivid Renaissance-style depiction of the Portuguese coat of arms flanked by angels and armillary spheres—symbols of Portugal’s maritime expansion.
