All natural buffalo horn is hand carved to create this authentic drinking horn. Each horn is individually crafted, between 16 inches and 19.5 inches long. No two are the same. They can hold about 24 ounces of water, wine, beer, ale, etc. The exterior is polished to a smooth shine. Coloring of the horn varies according to how it was grown in nature. Mostly it is black and calcium white. A thick leather frog is included and allows it to fix to a belt.Drinking horns were traditionally used in many parts of the world. Sometimes ceremonial, and often as an everyday drinking horn. What is unique about the horn, it cannot be set down on a table until it is empty. Ensure a guest drinks all of their wine with one of these natural drinking horns.* Please note there may be a slight odor as this is a natural item. The color and shape may vary and may not be exactly like the picture. Item may have minor scratches due to buffing and natural material. When measuring this item we measure it at the spine. This is an all-natural item and you will need to coat inside with beeswax. In order to do this you will melt the beeswax and pour it in the horn. Move it around to coat the entire inside and pour out the excess. Please wash with a gentle detergent and polish with vegetable oil to keep it from drying out. And from time to time you will want to use beeswax to coat the inside to keep from cracking. Please do not use hot liquids in this item.
