Background of Connor MacLeod

Connor MacLeod is an Immortal born in the 16th century and is the main protagonist in the movie Highlander. As an Immortal, Connor is unable to die unless he is beheaded. With others like him, Connor fights against the remaining Immortals to obtain 'The Prize,' which has the power of all previous Immortals and the ability to dominate mankind. In battle, Connor wields a longsword that consists of a uniquely arched guard inscribed with his name 'MacLeod'.
