Rare vintage early 1950s French New Look black satin swirling jacquard dress designed by Jacques Fath. The partnership between French couturier Jacques Fath and American business man Joseph Halpert was one of the first of its kind and created a unique opportunity for a demi couture RTW line. Flattering wide portrait neckline, high and straight in back and wrapping around the shoulder to form a v in front with button detail at each side. Beautifully darted bodice and waistline with a full New Look style skirt. Hidden back metal zipper along the side seamline, unlined.
