A t-shirt featuring Red John's calling card from TV show, The Mentalist. The Mentalist is an American police-procedural TV-series that debuted on September 23, 2005 on CBS. It was created by Bruno Heller, who is also its’ executive-producer. The show follows former psychic Patrick Jane (played by Simon Baker) who is employed as a consultant to the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He works by using the highly developed observational skills he had previously used to read peoples’ minds. Although employed to help solve crimes, his real purpose in working for the CBI is a personal mission to track down the killer known as Red John, who is responsible for the deaths of Jane’s wife & daughter. Like most American TV-shows, The Mentalist is filmed in the Los Angeles County-area. The shows’ fifth season premiered on September 30, 2012. On March 27, 2013, CBS renewed the series for a sixth season.
