Randi Tytingvåg has a long career as an artist behind her with frequent tours in Norway and Germany. Now she is releasing her tenth album, entitled LENGT (LONGING).

With her solid creative lyrics and her unmistakable lilting musical expression, mixed with elements of jazz and folk-music, Tytingvåg always serves top-notch quality.

And this time she delivers yet again.

Randi has written the music and lyrics in close collaboration with the poet and author Helge Torvund. They eventually settled on the title LENGT/LONGING.

· “Longing for home, nostalgia, loss, the hope for a bright future and this vague longing for something rock solid and fundamental, a dimension for expanding life.”

The Randi Tytingvåg Trio gives the listener an intimate connection to the music and narrative.

With her regular musicians Dag Vagle, Erlend E. Aasland and sound technician Per Ravnaas, Randi Tytingvåg settled into the Norwegian Trekking Association’s Gramstadtunet farmhouse in Sandnes to record the new album. Surrounded by beautiful nature, they were undisturbed while they worked intensely on the music. With vocal harmonies, guitars, banjo, mandola and other string instruments they have given the songs an invigorating acoustic soundscape.
