Complete Ant Starter nest with temperature - humidity sensor and drinking unit were you ants can expand without having to move.

This nest is the nice size for allowing your colony to grow beyond the founding stage. With multiple exits, it's easy to expand the nest as needed. You can enlarge it, attach a Thermo/Hydro meter (available separately), or even place a heating cable underneath using our optional nest legs.

-a 3mm transparent plexiglass cover with a part you can remove to acces the outworld

-Stainless steel mesh to keep ants out of the reservoir
-Xiaomi Bluetooth Temperature Humidity Sensor Module
(if you download the Mi-Home app you can change the celsius to Fahrenheit)

•BENEFITS
• The white removable inner part is perfect if the exterior is a different color than white, 
so that you can always see the ants clearly.
• The plexiglass is secured with Allen screws mounted in copper threads, 
so that making disassembly easy for a task, like cleaning the nest.
• The humidification chamber is filled with Melamine Sponge for efficient moisture absorption. Excess moisture drains from the sides to prevent it from entering the nest. The stainless steel mesh keeps ants out of the reservoir and can be easily cleaned or replaced if necessary.
• The nest features five extra openings (10mm) that allow for expansion, so that adding a temperature and humidity sensor or a second nest is very easy
• The unit also have a full drinking unit with double mesh so you can easy refill the test tube without ants escaping and a stainless steel mesh under the PLA mesh so messor ants can't chew true it.
• With the Xiaomi Bluetooth Temperature Humidity Sensor Module its easy to monitor the nest for the right temperature and humidity

•OPTIONS
The nest is available in multiple colors, so there is always a colour you prefer.

- 3mm red (transparent) acrylic cover plate, providing darkness for the ants (in most cases) while allowing you to observe their progress. 

-Additional types of nest ports can be purchased separately.

- Nest legs can be purchased separately, elevating the module slightly to accommodate a heating cable underneath

This Natural Nest is an integral part of our modular system, ensuring that you only invest in components that will remain useful as your ant colony grows. The modular system is easily expandable with other components. All modules have dimensions of 5 cm or multiples thereof (this one, for instance, is 10x10).
