Identical video and audio streams are transmitted across two independent network paths, allowing the system to reconstruct perfect frames from whichever packets arrive first. This process is fully automatic and occurs in real time, eliminating dropped frames or audio glitches even during network faults. For optimal resilience, the redundant ports can be connected to separate Ethernet switches.
Control and integration are equally robust. A dedicated NMOS Ethernet port enables modern IP routing and device management, making it easy to integrate into larger SMPTE‑2110 installations. Dual redundant AC power supplies further enhance operational security, ensuring continuous operation in critical broadcast environments. The 1RU chassis is engineered for professional racks, helping to reduce clutter and improve airflow in dense installations.
By acting as a clean breakout between SDI and IP domains, this converter simplifies system expansion, cable management and future upgrades.
