The COLD AIR INTAKE system is an upgrade kit specifically designed for the Vespa GTS to improve engine performance and throttle response. It consists of a stainless steel tube assembled from several parts by laser welding and powder coated in matt black. It is placed between the air filter and the throttle valve of your Vespa GTS and prevents the original rubber hose from fluttering in the air filter, which counteracts a drop in performance.   By using the COLD AIR INTAKE system, the airflow to the engine is improved so that more air can be drawn in and pumped through the engine. The inner diameter of the tube is larger than that of the original rubber hose, resulting in increased airflow and therefore increased engine performance. The kit also includes special silicone connectors and hose clamps to screw on to ensure a safe and reliable installation. Another benefit of the COLD AIR INTAKE system is that it results in a smoother engine idle, which contributes to a cleaner and smoother engine running overall.   However, it is important to note that the installation of the COLD AIR INTAKE system on the Vespa GTS can potentially be a significant intervention in the vehicle system and therefore requires some expertise.
