This advanced handheld digital film camera is designed to bring high end cinema image quality into a compact and flexible body. At its core is a Super 35 HDR sensor with a native resolution of 6144 by 3456 pixels, delivering rich detail, natural skin tones and smooth highlight roll off that closely matches the look of traditional film. With 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO values of 400 and 3200, it performs reliably in both controlled studio lighting and challenging low light environments.
An active EF lens mount provides broad compatibility with a wide range of photographic and cinema lenses, including full electronic control of iris, focus and zoom on supported optics. This makes it easy to adapt the camera to documentary, broadcast or narrative workflows while retaining precise control directly from the body.
One of the defining features of this model is the integrated four position IR ND filter system. Built in clear, 2 stop, 4 stop and 6 stop filters allow rapid exposure adjustment without changing lens settings, which is especially valuable when working outdoors or in fast moving production environments. The adjustable 5 inch HDR touchscreen offers a full HD resolution and a brightness of 1500 nits, making accurate focus and framing possible even in direct sunlight.
Recording options are highly flexible, with support for Blackmagic RAW and ProRes across multiple resolutions and frame rates, including high speed capture up to 120 frames per second in windowed modes. Media can be recorded internally to CFast or SD UHS II cards, or externally via the high speed USB C port to compatible drives. Professional audio is supported through dual mini XLR inputs with phantom power, complemented by a 3.5 mm stereo input and headphone output.
Designed for long shooting days, the camera uses a larger NP F570 battery and can be expanded with optional accessories such as an OLED viewfinder or battery grip. Combined with a highly accurate internal timecode generator and comprehensive metadata support, this system integrates smoothly into professional post production pipelines powered by DaVinci Resolve Studio, which is included.
