The 1044566 dual smoke alarm features dual photoelectric and ionization smoke sensing to detect both fast flaming and smouldering fires. Dual sensors ensure fewer false alarms, while the built-in optipath technology provides 360-degrees of access to the smoke sensors ensuring a fast and accurate reaction. 

1044566 offers a "perfect mount" system featuring a gasketless base and a mounting bracket that keeps the alarm secure over a wide rotation range for true alignment, allowing easy fine-tuning. 

While the alarm is hardwired and can be made part of a more extensive system, it also features a AA alkaline battery backup to ensure safe protection during a power outage.  

This alarm offers two latching features: the alarm latch that easily identifies the initiating alarm even after alarm condition has subsided and the low battery latch that identifies which unit has a low battery. It also offers two different silence features, including a silent low battery chirp for up to eight hours and silent nuisance alarm.
