A collection of songs by three Russian composers sung by Margarita Grytskova, a 1987 mezzo-soprano from Russia. She studied at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory and won several international competitions, but it was the great conductor Mariss Jansons who first discovered her in 2008 when she played the leading role in Bizet's "Carmen" at the St. Petersburg Conservatory Opera Theater under his direction. In 2015, she sang Cherubino in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" at the Salzburg Festival and also appeared at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro. She also appeared at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro.
