The cellist Joséchu Obregón and the period ensemble La Ritilata, led by Obregón, are the symbols of the new era of Spanish ancient music in the ancient music powerhouse of "Glossa". La Ritilata, which has released wonderful Spanish Baroque and Italian Baroque recordings, presents the seventh installment of Glossa, featuring Alessandro Scarlatti, the founder of the 18th century Neapolitan school of music! The program includes four chamber cantatas for recorder and violin from the works of Alessandro Scarlatti, who is said to have composed more than 800 secular cantatas. The austere sinfonias by familiar names such as Tamar Lalo on recorder and Hiro Kurosaki on violin, and the expressive arias sung by Filippo Mineccia and others, depict the outstanding creativity of Alessandro Scarlatti.
