Born at the same time as Schubert, Levee wrote many songs. He is especially noted for his dramatic ballads, which Wolff used as a model for his own works. His works are not limited to songs, but also include many operas and instrumental pieces. Among his works, there are many masterpieces for piano, a genre in which Löwe, who was originally a pianist, really showed his talent. This second album commemorates the 150th anniversary of Lève's death and includes four pieces: "Spring," which has a title for each movement, "Biblical Scenes," which has a religious character, the technical "Grand Sonata," and the world premiere recording of "Evening Fantasy.
