97 Points, Parker (Luis Gutiérrez) –“ The 2022 El Jardín de las Iguales Garnacha was cropped from a warm and dry year, more Mediterranean and with a sensation of a little more ripeness despite the moderate 13.5% alcohol. The grapes were picked quite early, the 11th of September. The full clusters, including a small percentage of Macabeo interplanted with the Garnacha (perhaps 5% to 10%), fermented with full clusters that were foot trodden in concrete and with a long maceration of 82 days. The wine matured in neutral 456-liter barrels for a period of 13 months. It has notes of flowers, berries and herbs with an exotic touch of curry and celery, elegant and complex. It has a seamless palate with abundant, fine-grained tannins and very supple flavors. It has very good acidity and healthy parameters: a pH of 3.12 and 6.19 grams of acidity. 960 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2024. I tasted the wine twice, the same bottle with a difference of 14 hours, and the wine opened up spectacularly but didn't deviate one millimeter; so, my guess is that the wine is going to age effortlessly in bottle.”
