As I make this piece in the dead of winter, I dream of summer, which can’t get here soon enough.  What’s better than the warmth of the sun gently massaging your back, the flitter of birds; here, there and everywhere, and the smell of a freshly cut lawn or meadow ... with neat little clumps of wild daisies spared by a respectful mower.

No wonder this fabric caught my eye right away and puts me in a ‘good place’ every time I work with it, spacing our signatures pintucks just so as to not dampen the ‘spirit of the daisy’ on the front & back bodice.  These pintucks continue to grow and flourish along the back sash and create our signature hem finish.  A bright, sunshiny yellow print highlights the sweep of the neckline and sprout as covered-buttons along the center back closure.

As with all good things, summer eventually comes to an end.  So as the daisies fade and the sun lowers in the sky, add a colorful pair of tights with a cute top or sweater, and keep that summertime feel all year round.  Knee length.
