Original to c.1915, this ring is simply stunning. Set to centre with a natural saltwater pearl with the perfect creamy-white lustre and round button shape. Natural pearls are incredibly scare and hugely valuable - during the Edwardian era they were seen as the most desirable engagement ring choice due to how rare they were. This particular pearl is of outstanding quality.
Today, natural pearls are seldom found with nearly all oysters no longer being able to produce these miraculous gems. This pearl has been examined by GCS and the ring is accompanied by a gemmological pearl report confirming the natural, untreated character.
The pearl is flanked by shoulders which elegantly taper to form a solid platinum D-shape band. The shoulders are accented with tiny antique and hand-cut single-cut diamonds which compliment rather than compete with the unique lustre of the central pearl. They add a subtle finesse to the ring which makes it feel all the more elegant and feminine.
Excellent: all stones are secure and well set, with no damage to the mount. Professionally polished and carefully inspected by our workshop, ready to wear and enjoy.
Unless stated otherwise, gem weights and specifications are estimated (assessed in mount).
